Along with many others, I've occasionaly apologised for instigating or adding to thread drift, but I was just thinking that it is actually a key ingredient in making this forum so entertaining, engaging, and wide-ranging in its discussion. I know it can muddy the water of a topic and I guess that could frustrate the thread starter, but the unexpected tangents and wormholes it creates are really rather wonderful - how dull it might be if it didn't happen.

  2. Anyone seen the movie Diva recently?

  3. I agree entirely, Tom. There is no really enjoyable thread that doesn't encourage considerable divergence.

Absolutely Paul - have it on DVD. By the way, have you ever squashed a hedgehog?

  6. Sorry for this thread drift but which should I open first, the 1995 or 1996 Weinert Malbec?

Talking of Weinert Malbec, scaffolding poles are heavier than you think.

  8. We get Romanians to do our scaffolding. They're much lighter.

  10. Is this not about gliding one's motor vehicle on some slicks, like they do on the telly?

Jonathan, weird, but snap on Subway. Would love to see that again, but none of the streaming service seem to have it.

  16. I have subway on DVD. Its also available on DVD and Blu-Ray at the outlet named after a south American river.
It also seems to be available for streaming rental on the .com version of that site.
