Icardi (Italy) Barbera d'Asti 1997 From Piedmont in Northwest Italy, this wine is quite smoky and sweet on the nose, with juicy cherry fruit and notes of dark chocolate and almonds. On the palate, a nicely sour set of flavours: cherry again and lemony acidity, spices and earthy fruit. Quite long and very enjoyable. Oddbins £5.99 (07/99). |
