Neszmély (Hungary) "Hilltop" Gewürztraminer 1997 This wine has been slow fermented in stainless steel to retain a grassy freshness. Not so overtly perfumed as typical Alsace examples, the nose has developing aromas of lychee and tropical fruit. The palate is spicy and full-flavoured, with quite tart raspberry fruit, plenty of alcohol and body and a powerful finish (07/99) Thresher, Victoria Wine £4.69. |
