Château de Sours, Bordeaux Rosé 2012, France
Château de Sours has become one of the best loved rosé wines in the UK over the past couple of decades, though their decision to offer their wines 'en primeur' is a highly unusual one -
only for the elite red and a few white wines of Bordeax's top terroirs. It has a lovely, clear red fruit quality on the nose,
with enough herb and stony mineral character to immediately suggest a grown-up, savoury appeal. On the palate too, raspberry and redcurrant gives a tart, biting edge to the core of ripe fruit, and this finishes
long with elegant balancing acidity. Watch the video for much more information on this wine and the estate, and for food-matching suggestions. £120 per dozen, Private Cellar, Goedhuis, Bon Couer Wines.
Note: orders must be placed by 1st March 2013. The wine will be available later in spring/summer from other retailers: see wine-searcher.
