Dashwood (New Zealand) Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 1999
From the excellent Vavasour winery, and the top Marlborough region,
the nose has a beautiful combination of classic leafy gooseberry and nettle aromas with pure, ripe lychee and mango notes. On the
palate it is fresh and stacked with zippy apple and lemon flavours along with glimpses of that sweet tropical fruit, but the whole
thing punched-through with a streak of pure citrus acidity that leaves it tangy and mouthwatering. A really lovely sauvignon and
very good value for money. Victoria Wine/Thresher £6.99 (02/00)
