Costero Pinot Noir Rosé 2009, Chile
Second week in a row that Majestic has supplied the Wine of the Week, but I really couldn't resist this striking and delicious rosé from the cool, coastal and very high quality Leyda Valley region. It has a beautifully fragrant nose, the soft strawberry and raspberry coulis quality of fruit coming through strongly. The palate has terrific freshness, almost a Sauvignon-like with its cut and thrust, finishing with a sweet fruited appeal. A beauty of a pink. £8.99, Majestic, but buy two bottles save £4.00 = £6.99
