white wines

Navarro Correas Coleccion Privada Chardonnay 2006
30% is barrel aged. Very nice honey and creamy oak, with fine lightly smoky sesame seed and ripe mango and nectarine fruit. The palate has good crisp acidity, and a very clean fruit quality. It is perhaps lacking a touch of flesh on the mid palate, but there is nice clarity to the wine and a balanced finish. 87/100

Navarro Correas Alegoria Cosecha Tardia 2005
Mostly Sauvignon and Semillon, with a delicately nutty, lightly honeyed nose, and little herbal edges. A little dried apricot and fig fruit comes through in a very pretty picture. Very nice lemon drop fruit and a core orangy acidity. Very nice finesse and balance here, in a wine with decent length. 89/100

red wines

Navarro Correas Alegoria Malbec 2004
Very sweet, impressively seductive and deep black fruit wrapped in a cloak of fine, smoky, mocha coffee-tinged oak with a great minty ripeness at its core. Some little notes of earth and exotic spices. On the palate, very nice freshness throughout this wine. Lovely fruit and freshness, with a herbal edge and very nice oak. 89/100

Navarro Correas Structura 2003
Quite tight, schisty quality. A little mineral quality and some dustiness to the fruit. On the palate very nice fruit quality, with a cherry and cassis quality, and plenty of swirling, smoky oak beneath. Good acidity, and becomes quite plump and fleshy in the finish. 90/100
