The Wine Gang is myself, Tim Atkin, Anthony Rose, Joanna Simon and Olly Smith. Our monthly reports at www.thewinegang.com provides the UK's biggest and most comprehensive coverage of wines available in the UK. It is completely independent and pulls no punches.

Last year we held our inaugural Christmas Fair which was a blast and this year we are back, bigger and better! The mood of the event will be lively and fun, giving you the opportunity to sample distinctive, quality wines, especially those we've rated as Gold, Silver or Bronze. Over 600 wines will be on show from the cream of high street retailers like Waitrose, Oddbins and Majestic, plus dozens of the UK's brightest independent merchants and a fascinating array of specialists from Wine of Lebanon, to the Wines of Oregon and Washington. The five Gang members will lead free 'Wine Walks' to taste some of our personal favourite wines.

New for 2010 is a series of masterclasses by some of the world's greatest winemakers:

1) Understanding Pinot Noir & Sauvignon Blanc with Dr Damian Martin of Ara, New Zealand
2) The Sélections Parcellaires of Maison M. Chapoutier with Michel Chapoutier, France
3) Languedoc, the Rubik's cube of wine with Jean Claude Mas of Domaines Paul Mas, France
4) Champions of Chenin Blanc with Ken Forrester, South Africa

There are two sessions on the 6th, one running from 12:00pm - 3:00pm and containing masterclasses 1 & 2 above, and one running from 4:00pm - 7:00pm and containing masterclasses 3 & 4 above. Tickets for each event are priced at £20 and adding any masterclass costs just £10 more. See below for discounts!

Everyone can use the code EARLYBIRD to buy tickets for £17.50. The code is valid until mid October.

Adding any masterclass to the basic event ticket costs an additional £10, but please note the masterclasses have a limited capacity and are already selling well - be quick if you want to attend a specific masterclass!

How to book tickets

Booking is open now. Gang members should use their own special code in the 'Discount Code' box on the TicketSOUP or Vinopolis web sites to buy up to four tickets at £15.00 each. Anyone can use the code EARLYBIRD to buy tickets at £17.50 each until October 15th (or while stocks last). Quote these codes if booking by phone.
