Yarra Valley Hills Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 1998
Pale to medium gold with green. Very, very leafy, nettley, herbal bouquet before sour, ripe melon fruit with notes of quince and lime. Very rich, palate-flooding mouthfeel
with high alcohol and full body. There is plenty of ripe, juicy fruit of pear and melon and a vibrant citrus acidity into a long clean and pure finish. A fairly serious £8.99
(Oddbins UK), but it is a very impressive wine, the semillon adding a sensuous depth to the sauvignon. (08/99)
