Bonterra (California) Cabernet Sauvignon 1995
This wine, made from organically farmed grapes has a very dark, dense crimson colour. Wonderfully intense blackcurrant nose, sweet and cassis-like. Palate has cool, minty, blackcurrant fruit and a nicely creamy weight. There is something of a cedary complexity, but basically it straightforward and easy-to-drink with lovely fruit, good length and no harsh acid or tannic edges. (02/99)
