Chassagne 1er cru VV 2007, Marc Morey

A reckless purchase of a well priced wine. Buying back vintages of white burgundy is for the stout of heart these days, particularly when more or less warned off by its seller, but the first bottle of the case is a palpable hit, properly racy yet ample Chassagne in very early maturity, ravishing stuff which reminds me of why I used to so adore these wines. Let us hope that they are all like this!

I bought a half case of 2007 Marc Morey CC 1er cru a few years ago (seduced by a merchants email) and have drunk a couple but haven't touched any for a year or two. Both were very good.

I still love white burg and it's a shame we need to look for regular assurances as to health (or otherwise) but I'm always glad to see them!

Thom,

Thought you said burgundy didn't keep well in the fridge overnight. A week and a half??!! Maybe you were referring to red Burgundy?
