Season's greetings to all visitors

I would like to offer my very best wishes to all wine-pages visitors this festive season.

It has been another great year for wine-pages, with over 300 articles published, £3,500 worth of prizes given away in competitions, and the UK Wine Forum going from strength to strength: now with 4,775 members. I tasted thousands of wines and reported on over 1,500 of them, and we added more great resources such as our growing collection of Restaurants with Rooms and the community-built BYO restuarant guide - now with 500 places listed.

November 2012 saw the 17th anniversary of wine-pages first being published, and my thoughts are already turning to a 20th anniversary celebration in 2015. On Twitter a huge thanks to my 5,900 followers, and to my thousands of Facebook friends. My own YouTube TV Channel now hosts over 170 video reviews, with a new one beeing added every week.

Wine-pages will be updated occasionally over the holiday period, including publishing your Wines of the Year lists - please send them in. But I'll be taking some time off with friends and family too, so don't expect daily updates until the week begining Sunday 6th January please, when normal service resumes!

To all who have helped make another very successful and enjoyable year for wine-pages during 2012 - including sponsors of the site, visitors, contributors and people who have helped me behind the scenes - may I wish you a very peaceful and happy Christmas and a great and prosperous 2013.
